    1) Two joggers start jogging from the same point on a highway. One is running north, and other is running south. One jogs 2 miles per hour faster, than the other. They are 24 miles apart after 3 hours. At what rate is each jogging?


    2) A collection of nickels and dimes is worth $2.85. If there are 34 coins in the collection, how many of each type of coins are there?


    3) One number is 6 larger than another. The square of the larger is 96 more than the square of the smaller. Find the numbers.

    bet man nepieņem atbildes, jo neesot jāmin (kā es to daru kamēr trāpu :shura: ), bet vajagot ar nezināmajiem x un y utt  :hvz:

    Pie[ņemsim ka viens skrien ar ātrumu X - otrs attiecīgi skrien ar ātrumu X+2

    Vienādojums ļoti izklāstītā versijā:
    (X+X+2)*3=24
    (2X+2)*3=24
    2X+2=24/3
    2X+2=8
    2x=8-2
    2x=6
    x=3
    x+2=5

    Tātad viens skrien ar ātrumu 3 mph otrs 5 MPH :bigok:

    Var to visu rēķināt pieņemot ka x+2 ir y - bet nu neredzu vajadzību :)
